çanoma

A fragrance brand created in 2020 by director Yuta Watanabe and perfumer Jean-Michel Duriez.

The brand name is a cross between a tea room (everyday-life) and a tea ceremony (high-quality), with "sa" spelt as "ça" to mix the French spirit.

With the theme of "fine everyday life", perfumes are created using both the senses and technology. The fragrances are made using French perfumery techniques to create scents that suit Japanese sensibilities.

Each perfume label is assigned a "Genji-Kono-zu", which suggests the source of inspiration. The meaning of each "Genji-Kono-zu" is described on the inside of the packaging as a hidden theme.

Director: Yuta Watanabe (Japan)
Perfumer: Jean-Michel Duriez (France)
